December 10th, 2006: Final Banquet

December 10th, 2006: Final Banquet.

  • (I’m not even going to try to sum this up. I know I haven’t been the most verbose in this blog, and I should really have some words of wisdom for this last night….but I just can’t do it right now. Honestly, I’m still processing it…and there are some things that are just better experienced in person. Let’s just say that it’s been an amazing ride and I’m so incredibly thankful that I chose to take this leap of faith. Hopefully there will be more to follow from me in the near future.)

December 9th, 2006: Host Family Day

To the Ferrari museum, Lucio!

December 7th & 8th, 2006

December 7th, 2006: Presentation upon Presentation…but at least we had Carolyn Lee.

December 8th, 2006: Last Show

  • Goofy rehearsal. We all get a chance to dance or sing the pieces that we never thought we could.
  • Seishun boys put on their last performance.
  • Powerful last show. I’m impressed. We all held it together…until our impromptu dance party immediately following the show. Thanks Mikey.

December 6th, 2007

December 6th, 2006: Another day of Lasts

  • Last High School Presentation
  • Last BTS for ten people. Considering such, it was quite the passionate performance.
  • Babysitting my host brothers and sister with “ChiChi”, their grandmother who spoke no English. HOWEVER, we both spoke “un peu de francaise”. Amazingly, we managed to talk about world politics and new technology. Maybe our French isn’t all THAT bad.

December 5th, 2006

December 5th, 2006:

  • No bus to be found at the bus stop. Will and I walk the highway to make our way to Modena center.
  • Tours through Modena
  • JC joins us!
  • After much debate, the decision is made to move Will and I out of the house into different host families.
  • I’m moved to a large family with four children and one on the way. These people are saints.
