August 25th, 2006: Segue and the Minnesota State Fair

Yamil and I are at Segue café right now with our host Mom, Jane. This is the best. I’m sitting in the coolest, most eclectic coffee shop ever, updating my blog with a chocolate drink in hand. Life can’t get any better.

I just fixed the shop’s XM radio. Hooray for dance music!!!

• State fair: I thought the Topsfield Fair was huge. No way. I think this is the biggest fair in the U.S. Granted, it’s a state fair…which could account for why it’s bigger than a town/county fair. Anywho, Yamil and I had a great time walking around, checking out the exhibits, forgetting to pay for the butterfly exhibit, and eating meatballs on a stick. That’s the big theme for this fair. “Come to the Minnesota State fair and get your _____ on a stick”. Yamil and I went for meatballs. I was hoping to get a snickers bar on a stick, but I couldn’t find the booth. It’s just as well. I think I still feel the meatballs.
