November 13th: The Advance Team Adventure Begins

• Train rides through Germany into Switzerland
• Why don’t they label 1^st class, passenger class, etc? We keep sitting in the wrong place! I think it’s just to confuse foreigners
• We meet and compare notes with an actress in the musical production of Grease
• We arrive in Bern at 4pm, with noone to greet usà informed to investigate for a few hours and then return to the “meeting spot”
• 8pm rolls around and no sight of a welcoming crew
• Emmi and Erik take a bus ride to Evelyn’s appartment (Erik’s hostmother)
• Emmi’s hostmother is M.I.A. but her roommate lets her in.
• Andres, my hostfather, knows more places in MetroWest Massachusetts than I do!
