October 2nd, 2006: Hosted with a familiar face

After six hours on a bus (thank you Ashes from Nepal for being a wonderful bus date), we have arrived in Suita. I am hosted again with Wouter and we are looking at a week of traveling via train to the UWP activities for the week. This should be mighty interesting considering how well known the Japanese trains are for becoming sardine cans during high traffic times. Let’s see how I manage my claustrophobia.

Meanwhile, we are living with a very nice woman (Chiemi) and her two sons (Kanato and Takuto). Her husband is away this week on business. Both Chiemi and her husband work in marketing and her husband appears to be a kind of musician (drummer?).

Ah, just got off the phone with Dad. That settles my mind a bit. Now it’s time for bed. Early rise for an early day on the train tomorrow. Take care all.

Dear Erik
I'm sorry to read about the loss of your Grampy. I hope your personal day of reflection did you well. Take good care of yourself!!

Warmest regards,
Johanna, mother of Wouter
