Adventures all around.

This was my first personal day and boy did I need it. I slept in until about 10:30 and did some journaling for about an hour before making my way upstairs to have breakfast. Wouter was not far behind. We ate out on the deck while I enjoyed some sun, very much as my Grampy Toi used to do (sitting in a chair in the direct light). We decided that we would try to venture into the city and check out Body World. But when I checked online to see if they had any openings, their website indicated that they were packed. Time to revise.
We thought about just going into the city and adventuring around. However, David offered the idea that we could go swimming at Eldorado springs, which his cousin partially owns. Wouter and I lit up at this idea, so it was decided that, in the 100 degree weather, we would go swimming.
Just prior to leaving, I looked outside and noticed that the only car in the driveway was Davids truck, which only has room for one passenger…unless someone sits in the payload area. Just as I was about to ask David about this, he informed me that either or both Wouter and I should plan on sitting in the back for the ride. I asked if this was legal and he reported that he had checked with a local official and it turns out that it was. So, somewhat uneasy, but excited at the same time, WOuter and I loaded into the back of the truck and, big surprise, I came up with the idea that we should use bungee cords for seat belts.
Off we went, up to the mountains. Wouter and I laughed almost the entire way there. The scenery on the way up and at the pool was just what we needed. I love mountains and these were big M.F.’ers. And yes, Kevin, the mountains back home are “foothills” in comparison to your monsters here in
We only spent a few hours there and then we hopped back into the back of the truck for the scenic ride home. Back in
