November 21st - 23rd, 2006

November 21, 2006:

· Ever hear one of those “I used to walk uphill for miles upon end to get to school” stories?….Well that was me getting to my presentation at the Steiner Schule today, in the rain. Thankfully after I dried off, Emmi was able to join me (her alarm didn’t go off) and help out. We met with three classes, the teachers, and we were able to get email addresses of 24 students interested in the UWP program. Go team.

· Only about 25 more beds to find, and a day to go until host family meeting.

· Dinner and drinks with Victor Bauermann.

· Goodbye and goodluck to Karin. Thank you for all your hard work.

November 22nd, 2006:

  • Small host family meeting with many quirks (no printed schedule and the projector was off kilter), but Emmi did a darn good job teaching the parents about the program (in German).
  • Explosion back in my home town, Danvers. Thankfully everyone is alright.

November 23rd, 2006:

  • Emmi takes the day off to meet her boyfriend at the Airport and to spend the day.
  • Inger and I put in a full day.
  • Thanksgiving dinner with James & Emmi
